I found that the rustic charm of the rooms, combined with their cleanliness and fresh linens, provided for a cozy stay with just enough comfort. The “courtyard” room, in particular, which is the one I stayed in, was charming with its big windows and abundant natural light, creating a pleasant and soothing ambiance while giving you something to look at. There are another 3-4 rooms like it at the property. For light sleepers, it is advisable to book one of these rooms as they are away from the main road and noise disturbances.
While the rooms are undeniably nice, one minor drawback is the lack of outdoor space to sit, relax read a book, or drink coffee. However, this is a small price to pay for the overall appeal of the property. Speaking of reading, check out the bookcase in the reception that holds books that travelers have left behind. I found some interesting titles and comics that I read during my brief stay here.
THE GOAN KITCHEN
While not your typical café, The Goan Kitchen offers a unique experience for those craving authentic Goan flavors. Picture yourself sitting on their mezzanine floor, savoring local snacks like pasteis, egg chops, chicken samosas, rissois, pan rolls, and more, that you’ve picked from the display case. Sip on some coffee, kokum soda, or ‘orchata’ (a drink made with almonds and rosewater) as you enjoy Konkani tunes playing in the background and the friendly chatter of customers and staff. It’s an unconventional yet charming spot in Margao. Don’t forget to pick up some pickles, masalas and teatime snacks when you leave.
Hiking in the Tea Plantations of Munnar, Kerala!
If you have come to Munnar with your children, you should spend one day for this fun and adventurous destination. The entrancefee is moderate, and this park includes many adventure sports. There is a jungle safari, where you can see a lot of animals and flora. You will be able to see theater in 12D,which the children would enjoy.
